Industrial gloves buying guide: Kenya, Africa and worldwide supply

Industrial gloves should be chosen for the task, not bought by appearance. Two gloves of the same material can protect against different hazards.

Start with the exposure

Record what is handled, how long the contact lasts, and the conditions — wet, oily, hot, or sharp. Chemical work requires the substance identity and, where available, the safety data sheet. A glove labelled "chemical resistant" is not approved for every chemical.

Select the material and style

General handling often uses polka-dot or coated grip gloves. Chemical work calls for nitrile or chemical-resistant models matched to the substance. Cut-resistant gloves suit sharp materials and glass handling. Heat or welding tasks need purpose-made thermal protection.

Get the sizing right

Collect the size mix for the team and ask whether samples are available for fit assessment. A glove that is too large reduces grip and dexterity; one that is too small tears faster and causes fatigue.

Compare quotations carefully

Ask for the exact model reference, pack size, unit price, and availability for each size. A lower price for a different glove is a substitution, not a saving. Have the safety lead review proposed alternatives before approval.

Delivery coverage

Orders can be delivered across Kenya and neighbouring East African markets, with worldwide shipping available for qualifying orders. Confirm the delivery location and lead time when requesting the quotation.
